May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, therefore, our clinic will provide FREE Skin Cancer Screenings throughout the three months of May, June, and July. Our goal is to spread the word on sun safety, the importance of having annual skin cancer screenings, and early detection in the fight against skin cancer. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the U.S., and the incidence of melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer) is rising faster than that of any other cancer. In fact, one if five Americans will get skin cancer in their lifetime, and every 65 minutes, someone in the U.S. dies of melanoma. While some are more at risk than others, anyone, regardless of skin color, ethnicity, age or geography can develop skin cancer. The good news is that when skin cancer is detected and treated early, the majority of cases are curable.

A skin cancer screening is a quick, easy, non-invasive, two to three minute inspection of the entire body by a healthcare provider trained in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the skin.
